OARR Faculty Support
The Office of Academic Records & Registration (OARR) supports faculty across all aspects of course administration — from scheduling and enrollment to grading and independent study. Use the pages below to find detailed procedures and policies for each topic.
Faculty Resources
Course Scheduling & Rooms
Covers the end-to-end scheduling process, room assignments, and how to request breakout or study rooms.
Grading
Covers grade submission, grading systems and curves (MBA/EMBA core and elective), grade changes, incomplete grades, and independent study grading.
Enrollment & Waitlists
Covers add/drop procedures, Course Match, waitlist management, First Class Attendance (FCM), cross-registration, and auditing policy.
Quick Reference: Do's and Don'ts
- Do check Vergil for official rosters — Don't use Canvas as the source of truth.
- Do decide on FCM before Course Match — Don't change FCM policy mid-term.
- Do request breakout rooms early with specifics — Don't over-request rooms you won't use.
- Do direct students to OARR for enrollment questions — Don't promise cross-registration before CBS demand is known.
- Do be consistent with FCM enforcement — Don't set FCM then routinely grant exceptions.
- Do use remote proctoring (Proctorio) when possible — Don't wait until the last minute for exam room requests.
