In addition to traditional offerings, many Centers and Programs across the School offer application-only courses during the Fall and Spring terms. These courses are carefully curated to provide advanced instruction and training in specialized areas of business and management.
Enrollment Process
- Application Required: You must be accepted by the hosting Center/Program to be enrolled in an application-only course.
- Pre-Enrollment: The Office of Academic Records and Registration (OARR) will pre-enroll accepted students before the Course Match Ranking begins.
- Declining Enrollment:
- If you wish to decline your seat, you must obtain approval from the respective Center or Program before the Course Match Ranking period starts.
- Do not attempt to drop the course via Vergil—application-only courses cannot be added or dropped through this platform.
Course Match & Target Credit Adjustments
Participation in application-only programs affects your Course Match budget and target credits:
| Credits Pre-Enrolled | Budget Adjustment | Target Credit Adjustment |
|---|---|---|
| 1.5 credits | -10% | -1.5 credits |
| 3.0 credits | -20% | -3.0 credits |
Note: If total pre-enrollment equals 15.0 or 16.5 credits, students will retain 10% of their base Course Match budget to rank any remaining target credits.
Important Reminders
- Do not attempt to add or drop application-only courses via Vergil. All changes require approval from the hosting Center or program.
- Pre-enrollment occurs before Course Match Ranking and is managed by OARR in coordination with each Center or Program.
- Please note: Pre-enrollment may occasionally result in a time conflict with another course. If this occurs, it is the student's responsibility to resolve the conflict during the add/drop period.
