Registration for non-PhD and MS students is always on a space-available basis after the PhD initial selection process is complete.
For fall 2023: Cross registration requests can be submitted starting August 29th, 2023. Class offerings will be updated below in late August.
Note: the information on this page only applies to Doctoral courses, which meet primarily on Monday through Friday on standard daytime hours.
Important Information on PhD and MS Cross-Registration
Select offerings, excluding some core doctoral courses, are open to all currently enrolled Columbia University, Teachers College, and Union Theological Seminary graduate degree candidates, as well as post-baccalaureate students in the School of Professional Studies (CE).
Cross-registration seats are offered if space is available after the PhD and MS Programs selection process is complete. Note that not all PhD courses will be available for cross-registration, due to issues of capacity and pedagogy, and there is no process for requesting seats in courses not included in the posted list of cross-registration course options. These classes are available in SSOL and we encourage you to add and drop classes there. If you have issues please email Elizabeth Elam a completed registration adjustment form signed by the faculty member to request a seat.
