Congratulations to the Class of 2024! Join your fellow graduates for a student-led celebration on Morningside campus to commemorate this milestone together with all eligible graduates across all schools.
Celebration Details
Date: Wednesday, May 15, 2024 (rain or shine)
Time: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (gates open at 8:30 a.m.)
Location: Morningside Campus
Entrance: Amsterdam and 116th Street (south pedestrian walkway)
Guests: Open to eligible graduating students only
Registration: Required and will close on Tuesday, May 14, at 9:00 a.m.
There will be music, performances, remarks from students, and a block party with food trucks to follow the ceremony!
Registration & Tickets
Let us know if you can make it! All eligible graduates of the Class of 2024 are invited to participate.
Registering for the student celebration will be the fastest way to enter the festivities. All graduates must have tickets for entry. When applicable, names of graduates on tickets must match your Columbia University Identification (CUID).
Registration closes on Tuesday, May 14, at 9:00 a.m.
How do I prepare?
Don't leave home without it! Here's how you can prepare:
- Regalia is required.
- Ticket saved, loaded, and/or ready to scan.
- You'll need your Columbia University Identification (CUID).
- Pre-filled, reusable water bottle.
- Prepare for inclement weather.
- Wear comfortable footwear, heels are not recommended.
- Fully charged phone (and maybe even an external battery).
- Pack light! Bags, backpacks, and purses larger than 5x7 inches are not permitted. All participants may be subject to bag check at entry.
- Don't forget your school tchotchkes and inflatables!
Things to Know
- Once your ticket is scanned, you'll receive a wristband. Be sure to keep it on throughout the celebration in order to access all the perks!
- The event will start on Low Plaza and move through upper campus to a street fair on 120th street between Amsterdam and Broadway. There will be food trucks, so come prepared for a treat.
- You are welcome to take photos while you are on campus until the event ends.
- Access will be limited and graduates will not be allowed back on campus for the festivities once you exit.
